You now have the option of extending it by one or two years for a nominal charge. You can avail of this warranty programme anytime before the expiry of the 2-year primary warranty or before your vehicle crosses 40,000 kms., whichever is earlier. Ask your dealer for details. Terms and Conditions:

This is a mechanical and electrical breakdown warranty designed to assist towards the cost of repairs/ replacement of any parts covered in this document. We accept the responsibility of repair/replacement only as per the terms and conditions of this document.

1. QUALIFICATION:
a) The Maruti vehicle must be delivered by Maruti authorised dealer and set-up, serviced by Maruti authorised dealer/service station on per MUL recommended periodic maintenance schedule.
b) The contract form with contract no. must be filed by the dealer and the customer should retain the same.
c) The extended warranty contract must have been registered with the dealer, and the dealer must have in turn registered with MUL.
d) The Maruti vehicle must not be used for commercial purpose, including without limitation usage as taxi.
e) The Maruti vehicle must be under warranty at the time of purchase of contract.

2. TERM:
The term of the warranty shall be as per option chosen by you. The list of options available are:
i) 3rd year or upto 60,000 kms from date of sale of new car, whichever is earlier, after the expiry of primary warranty of 2 years/4000 kms.
ii) 3rd & 4th year or upto 80,000 kms from date of sale of new car, whichever is earlier, after the expiry of primary warranty of 2 years/4000 kms.
The extended warranty is applicable for Maruti vehicle having 2 year/40,000 km warranty
This Extended warranty shall commence on the expiry of the standard warranty, in continuity.

3. MARUTI EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE:
If any defect(s) should be found in the Maruti vehicle within the extended warranty coverage period, in electrical/mechanical part, Maruti's only obligation is to repair or replace at its sole discretion any part shown to be defective, with a new part or the equivalent at no cost to the owner for parts or labour, when Maruti acknowledges that such a defect is attribute to faulty material or workmanship at the time of manufacture. The owner is responsible for any repair or replacement that are not covered by this warranty.

Please note:
This Extended warranty is not a mirror image of existing standard warranty.
It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to produce all necessary documents/records to prove that the vehicle has been serviced at the prescribed intervals and maintained through the Maruti Authorised Dealer / Authorised Service Station only.

A) LIST OF COMPONENTS COVERED:
This extended warranty will cover the following parts under the condition stated below:
Engine: All internal components, including:
Oil pump, crankshaft & pulley big end & main bearings, con rods, gudgeon pins, piston and rings, inlet and exhaust valves, springs and guides, cylinder block and cylinder head, cylinder head gasket, camshaft, arms and shaft rocker, timing gears and tensioner bearing, water pump, inlet and exhaust manifold.

Manual Gearbox:
All internal components, including:
Gears, Shafts, synchromesh hubs and rings, Selectors, Bearings, Transfer gears.

Automatic Gearbox: All internal components, including: Shafts, Gears, Brake bands, Oil pumps, Bearings and bushes, Valve, Drive plate, Transfer gears.

Front & Rear Wheel Drive: All internal drive unit components, including:
Crown wheel & pinion, Different units, Gears, Bearings, Constant velocity joints, Shafts (those with boot damage are NOT covered)

Propeller shaft:
Propeller shaft, universal joints

Suspension and Steering:
Arms with associated ball joints, Rear trailing arm & coil spring & pinion, Bushing, Steering column, Tie rods and tie rods end (NOT covered under external hit condition)

Steering knuckles, Steering box, Power steering pump, Wheel bearings, Shock absorbers, Struts.

Braking System:
Master cylinder, Brake booster, Diesel- vacuum pump

Fuel System:
Mechanical and Electrical Fuel Pumps, Injectors, Air flow meter, Fuel accumulator, Fuel distributor, Warm up regulator, Cold start valve, Pressure damper, Auxiliary air regulator, Deceleration valve, Engine speed sensor, ECU, Absolute pressure sensor, Solenoid switch carburetor, Carburetor, Throttle body

Diesel Injection System:
Injection pump, injectors, Glow plugs, Electromagnetic cut off

Air Conditioning:
Compressor, Condenser, Evaporator reservoir, thermostat switch & fan motor, Heater core, AC switch
(V. Belts, pipes, hoses and gas leaks are NOT covered)

Electrical System:
Starter Motor and solenoid switch, Alternator, Rectifier, Distributor, Ignition coil, Cooling fan motor, Power window motors, Combination switch, Ignition switch, Relay, Thermostat switch, Speedometer, Oil pressure switch, Temperature gauge, Fuel gauge, Horns

Oil Seals:
Crankshaft seal, Camshaft oil seal, Auxiliary shaft oil seal, Gear box oil seal, Drive shaft seal.

B) LIST OF COMPONENTS NOT COVERED:
This is limited list of important items not covered.
a) Normal maintenance service required, including without limitation, oil and fluid changes, headlight aiming, fastner retightening, wheel balancing, wheel alignment and tyre rotation, cleaning of injectors, adjustments or carburetor, ignition timing, clutch and valve clearance.
b) The replacement of normal wear parts including without limitation, bulbs, battery, tyres, tubes, spark plugs, brake linings, internal parts of brake master cylinder and wheel cylinder, belts, hoses, filters, wiper blades and brushes.
c) Any Seals and Gasket replaced or refitted as part of normal service-schedules.
d) Clutch, radiator, catalytic converter, muffler and different backlash under any circumstances
e) Humming noise in any component.
f) Replacement of timing belts as per recommended interval.
g) Trims, wheel rims, rubber parts, tyres & tubes, glass machine, all parts etc.
h) A/C Compressor, Drive shafts, tie rod ends, steering ball joints, suspension arms, rear shock absorbers & front struts are not covered beyond 60,000 Kms of vehicle use.
i) Any repair or replacement required as a result of accident or collision.
j) Paintwork, bodywork and mouldings, water entry into the vehicle, corrosion of body parts, glass, lenses, lock cylinders & key interior trims.

4. LIMITATION:
a) The vehicle must not have been used for competition or racing
b) The vehicle must not have been used for commercial purpose, including without limitation, taxi use
c) The vehicle must not have met with major accident
d) The vehicle must not have been modified or altered, including without limitation, the installation of performance accessories
e) The vehicle must not have been fitted with any parts or accessories not approved by Maruti
f) The vehicle must not have been assembled, dissembled, adjusted or repaired by other than a Maruti authorised dealer/service station
g) The vehicle must have not been used for purposes other than what it was designed for
h) Any damage or deterioration caused by industrial pollution and bird droppings
i) Insignificant defects which do not affect the function of the vehicle including without limitation, sound, vibration and fluid seep etc.
j) Any natural wear and tear including without limitation, aging etc
k) Vehicles externally fitted with LPG & CNG kits cannot be covered under extended warranty.
l) In case LPG/CNG is company fitted the vehicle can be covered under extended warranty but LPG & CNG kits are excluded from the cover.
